About Sharjah

Sharjah is a distinctive destination, rich in historic, natural and cultural sights. Crowned the Capital of Islamic Culture in 2014 and the Arab Tourism Capital for 2015, Sharjah offers visitors access its museums, mountains, souks and shorelines.

The third largest of the seven emirates, Sharjah is perfectly situated between the Arabian Gulf to the west and the Gulf of Oman to the east. It’s also just a short drive from Dubai, Ajman, and other northern Emirates.

The local currency is the Dirham (AED), and the time zone is GMT +4.

Climate and Best Time to Visit Sharjah

Visit from November to April for sunny days, cool evenings, low humidity and temperatures ranging from 18°C to 30°C. Summers (May to September) are hotter and more humid, with a focus on indoor activities.
