Round-the-Clock Renewal
UAE Nationals can renew their passports in a matter of minutes thanks to a dedicated office at Sharjah Airport, open 24/7. Any Emirati passport can be renewed as long as the document has less than six months validity remaining.
The round-the-clock service is provided by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). It ties in with the strategy of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to improve access to important customer services.
