Sharjah Airport has five cargo terminals with a total floor area of 32,000 square meters.
Dedicated warehouses, each 1200 sqm for freight forwarders operating charter flights to accept and build their own shipments.
The five cargo terminals are adjacent to dedicated cargo apron with capacity up to 13 different wide body aircraft including 4 stands for code-E aircraft.
The terminals are equipped to facilitate all types of cargo, including perishables, AVI, DGR, Pharma, valuables and others.
State-of-the-art systems to ensure smooth screening and clearing processes & user friendly cargo procedures.
Additional 10 warehouses with 200sqm space for freight forwarders.
Office and warehouse space is available for lease within the cargo terminals.

Sharjah Airport has warehouses where goods that are liable to duty can be stored, manipulated, and undergo manufacturing operations without having to pay duty.
Services
Sharjah Airport provides all the facilities required to transfer and store cargo. Our forklifts that can lift up to 15,000kgs, and higher capacity forklifts and cranes can be arranged upon request and for an additional cost. The airport’s cargo area also has cold storage for small and large shipments, including freezers (up to 100.8 cubic metres) and chillers (151 cubic metres). We can also handle valuable cargo and dangerous goods.
All import shipments must be cleared through customs at the Customs Warehouse. General cargo consignments will not incur any storage charges if cleared within seven days. After this, there are storage charges of AED 0.12 per kg, per day. Goods will be kept at the warehouse for a maximum period of six months from the date of arrival, after which they will be auctioned off by the Customs authorities. Customs works 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including national holidays and weekends.
Sharjah Airport works around the clock, 365 days a year to avoid any delays to the delivery of your goods. Consignments can be re-forwarded under custom bond if prior arrangements are made with the airports and airlines concerned.
Imports
When importing cargo to Sharjah Airport, the following restrictions apply to protect the well-being and safety of the United Arab Emirates.
Live animals must have a valid health certificate
Honey bees and queen bees can only be imported into the country with an import license issued by the Ruler’s Office or with documentation to prove that they originate from, and have been shipped directly from, Australia, Canada, the UK or New Zealand
Live fish, birds, and horses can only be imported into the UAE with prior permission from the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. Applications must be made in person by the importer or agent to the Department of Animal Wealth. Consignments will not be transported until the airline has obtained a copy of the import permit. Failure to comply may result in the cargo being confiscated, re-imported at the importer’s expense, or even destroyed

For meat and meat products, a health certificate and halal slaughter certificate are required. All foodstuff must be clearly marked with production and expiration dates on each individual package
Plants and plant material require a health certificate
Fruits and vegetables need an official phytosanitary certificate
Arms, ammunition, and explosives require permission from the Ministry of Defence. A minimum 48 hours of pre-alert notification is required
Narcotics and drugs require a valid licence from the Ministry of Health
Agricultural pesticides require a licence from the Ministry of Agriculture
Alcoholic beverages cannot be imported without a licence obtain from UAE authorities
Radioactive materials require import permission from UAE police, and a minimum of 48 hours pre-alert notification is required
